Opening Activity 10.11.11

1. List and describe two things you already knew.
You need to shoot a lot more raw footage (b-roll) than you will use in the video.
Follow action with the camera, it's what the audience wants to see.

2. List and describe two things you learned for the first time.
Leaning forward or backward can be better than using zoom.
Our eyes work like medium angle lenses so we tend to shoot that way. It's better to get a variety of close and wide shots.

Opening Activity 10.6.11.

I know it sounds crazy but I didn't know who Steve Jobs was until yesterday. I have an iPad and I really like it but I'm not particularly attached to the Apple brand so I just don't know much about it. Apple has changed a lot about the way people communicate and the technology we use so I suppose it is a pretty big deal that someone who has impacted us all so much has died.
